General Responsibilities

Donlen is seeking an Instructional Designer & Facilitator to develop, and facilitate training on their proprietary technology platforms and products and services.  Emphasis will be placed on training solutions for customers, however, employee training solution will also be a responsibility. In this position, you will be an architect in creating and improving learning as well as delivering training to customers and employees. You will work on instructional design projects that use your expertise to enhance the performance of employees and expand our customers’ knowledge.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand program goals and define the learning solution that will make their programs successful.
- Create and facilitate performance-focused learning that engages learners.
- Conduct needs assessment; design and develop learning courses and materials; consult and apply instructional strategy;
- Planning and designing education/training material and tools including e-learning, performance support aids, instructor-led training and other materials to meet identified needs.
- Asses impact of training on job performance.
- Introduce new training ideas into the organization.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop plans, timelines and contingencies for performance improvement intervention.
- Lead projects, identify scope and outcomes, motivate participants and ensure on-time execution of projects.
- Establish measurement and evaluation designs and develop assessment instruments to ensure learner understanding and performance
- Facilitate effective training and workshop activities that engage employees and customers to ensure learning objectives are met and applied. 
- Educate and assist other L&D staff on industry techniques and training development

Mandatory Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or certification in in Education, Instructional Design; Instructional Technology; Training and Development or related fields.
- Have knowledge of various instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Action Mapping) 3+ years of work experience with solid career progression in the field of instructional design and facilitation including experience in designing and delivering training solutions.
- Demonstrated experience developing instructor-led (both classroom and virtual) and self-paced eLearning courseware, job aids, online tutorials and print-based materials for employees and customers
- Proficiency with e-learning software and technologies, specifically, Articulate Storyline.
- Have a strong understanding of Learning Management Systems 
- Project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, working with stakeholders, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results.
- Visual design skills – able to create images and graphics that support and enhance learning content
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and implementation and driving performance through impactful training.
- Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders.
- Exceptional ability to earn trust of subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Experience working with learning management systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to travel 5-10%

Preferred Requirements

Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (e.g. CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.)
